Bonded Warehouse & Customs Services

GalleryExpress operates a CBSA-compliant bonded warehouse in Toronto. Bonded storage allows artwork to be held in Canada without formal customs entry up to four years with duty and tax deferred until released into the Canadian market, re-exported, or formally cleared. 

We provide full cultural property compliance support: CERS submissions, cultural export permits, CITES documentation, and carnet coordination. For international galleries placing works with Canadian dealers on consignment, auction houses importing works for Canadian sale, or collectors receiving works from abroad, this means one contact handles the logistics and the compliance requirements.

Bonded storage integrates directly with our facility operation. Works can move from import directly into bonded storage and from there to crating, local delivery, viewing rooms, re-export, or formal clearance without leaving our supervision.
