We are dedicated to excellence, precision, and customer satisfaction, and we are currently seeking a motivated and organized Business Development Associate to join our small team.
Position Overview:
We are hiring a driven, self-starting Business Development Associate to lead a comprehensive sales and outreach strategy, build client relationships, and support our marketing initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee new client business, CRM development,and brand development as the organization seeks to expand its services to a broad range of clients, including galleries, museums, corporations, not-for-profits, and private collectors, locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operational sustainability and growth by increasing business through active stakeholder and partner engagement, identification and follow-up on leads for new or increased business.
- Build and maintain our CRM of existing clients and prospects to consistently track leads, manage follow-ups, monitor key accounts, and analyze engagement.
- Drive outreach strategy, setting and adhering to a schedule for social media, newsletters, and other tools
- Work closely with leadership to define and align on KPIs, including growth in marketable contacts, outreach volume, revenue pipeline, sales conversions.
- Conduct market research, using available tools and resources to analyze industry standards, trends and offerings.
- Lead the application process for obtaining relevant industry memberships and certifications.
- Identify and build partnerships with relevant industry vendors to obtain competitive rates and services.
- In partnership with the General Manager, manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to successful close, ensuring a seamless client experience with post service follow-up.
- Report weekly on sales activity, conversion metrics, and overall outreach performance to inform strategy.
- Identify and engage with local events and initiatives to increase brand awareness, build relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with our logistics team to ensure excellent service delivery and client satisfaction.
Who You Are
- 2-4 years experience in fine art sales, luxury sales, or equivalent, with a demonstrated interest in fine art.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling messages.
- Strong sense of initiative. You can build from scratch, identify areas for improvement, and implement new systems.
- Comfortable and proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, Project Management tools (Asana, Trello etc) and CRM platforms.
- Excited by the intersection of art, logistics, and premium service, with a genuine interest in the art world.
- Willing to occasionally support field logistics to gain a deeper understanding of our operations.
- Proven experience in logistics with experience in fine art or comparable is an asset.
- A G class license is an asset.
